As we begin the new year, we’re thrilled to announce that Osheta Moore has officially joined the Global Immersion team as our new Program Specialist.
Global Immersion imagines a world inhabited by Everyday Peacemakers, and this requires accessible resources and training programs designed and facilitated by seasoned guides. Our experience tells us that peacemaking practitioners like Osheta make the best trainers.
We know Osheta as a gifted facilitator, a spiritual director, an Everyday Peacemaker, and a friend. She’s the author of Shalom Sistas and Dear White Peacemakers, a long-time contributor to Global Immersion programming, and a gracious guide for those who are exploring the way of life marked by peace.
She describes herself as an ESFJ mama who loves parties, people, and popcorn with red wine. A pastor who is convinced God has a sense of humor. A Peacemaker who loves Jesus a lot and cusses… a little. An optimistic cookbook reader. A hopeless romantic and a goofball with a little bit of sass.
In addition to shaping vision and programming with us, Osheta will be co-facilitating the Journey of Hope Cohort and co-hosting the Everyday Peacemaking Podcast in 2023. We’re honored to welcome her to the team and anticipate the many ways she will enhance our work.
We invite you to join Osheta and our co-founder Jer Swigart tomorrow (Thursday, Jan. 12) at 11:30aET / 10:30aCT / 8:30aPT for an IG Live on both Osheta’s and Global Immersion‘s Instagram. They’ll talk more about how this happened, where we’re going, and why we’re better together.
