Forming Reconciling Leaders

Our leadership cohort forms and equips Christian leaders to mend internal, interpersonal, and institutional divides.

The cohort utilizes live access to leading voices in global faith-based peacemaking, a communal approach to collaborative learning, and personalized coaching and spiritual direction sessions to invite the next-level transformation unique to and necessary for each leader in the program.

Participants experience a five-day immersion into the Deep South, where we explore the evolution of institutional racism and work to integrate resistance and resilience into our leadership practice. The cohort culminates with a robust synthesis of critical insights, strategy sessions for organizational leadership, program development, and local engagement, and an invitation to our Community of Reconciling Leaders.

The cohort allowed me to recognize my place as a peacemaker and implement a greater vision for what that means in my neighborhood, in my work as a chaplain, in my art, and everywhere else. It gave me the space and time needed to show me that peacemaking can occur in all of these locations. This was the glue that helped integrate those aspects of my life with purpose and intention.

This leadership cohort has been a great place to process and question some big ideas on a peer level with people that I can be honest and vulnerable with in a safe space. The progression of modules has led to transformation of me as a person, rather than just a collection of new knowledge. By beginning with our own value and belovedness, it created a strong foundation to examine constructs in faith, government, and society that might have otherwise proved too internalized to begin untangling. The investment of the leaders, speakers, and peer group leaders has formed me in ways that I haven't experienced many other places, especially as a leader.
