Spiritual Director

Dr. Jer Swigart is the co-founder of Global Immersion. He seeks to learn, love, and lead in ways that disarm violence, bridge difference, and awaken imaginations to restorative possibilities. He focuses on leadership formation, particularly with leaders and teams who have become disillusioned by the incongruence between the values of western Christianity and those of Jesus. In addition to his participation in local and national justice and reconciliation commissions, Jer is a North American contributing member of the Reconcilers Together Alliance, a Pepperdine Cross Sector Leadership Fellow, and a Senior Fellow of the Dietrich Bonhoeffer Institute. He holds an MDiv from Fuller Theological Seminary and his Doctor of Leadership in Global Perspectives from Portland Seminary. As the co-author of Mending the Divides: Creative Love in a Conflicted World, a speaker, facilitator, and consultant, he often reflects on the intersection of faith, leadership, and conflict transformation. Jer and his family live in the Pacific Northwest, USA.

Pastor, speaker, mother, wife: Osheta Moore is passionate about peacemaking, racial reconciliation, and community development in the urban core. Osheta (pronounced o-she-da, and no, it doesn’t mean anything, she says, “my dad just made it up”) serves as Pastor of Community life at Roots Covenant Church alongside her husband. Osheta is passionate about equipping the church to be everyday peacemakers. She is the author of "Shalom Sistas," an invitation to women to practice the Hebraic concept of Shalom in their everyday lives, and her most recent book and "Dear White Peacemakers," is a love letter to White Christians on their anti-racism peacemaking journey. She is also completing her two-year program to become a Spiritual Director so that she can help equip peacemakers with practices and prayers for the journey. Osheta has “flying in a hot-air balloon” at the top of her bucket list, and she is firmly convinced that everything is better after a nap. Follow Osheta on Instagram @oshetamoore for encouragement to practice everyday peacemaking and invitations for White Peacemakers on their journey towards anti-racism.

Maggie comes to Global Immersion with over 10 years of administrative and programmatic support in nonprofit and faith-based organizations. A Midwesterner, Maggie has called Seattle home for the past decade. She lives in north Seattle with her husband Steve and their almost-three-year-old (and a pair of cuddly cats). One of her favorite things to do in Seattle is finding all the cool playgrounds in with her kiddo, taking in local theater, and just being at home. Peacemaking, especially in small, everyday ways, is a core part of how Maggie lives out her faith, both in the realities of today and in hope for tomorrow.

Andrew Brumme has worked as a Communications Strategist for international non-profits for nearly two decades.

He is also a documentary filmmaker currently directing a series on the intersection of food and faith called Taste and See. He previously produced the award-winning feature documentaries In Pursuit of Silence, a meditative and experiential film about silence, and It’s a Girl, focusing on the controversial practice of gendercide in India and China.

He lives in France with his wife, three children and four chickens. His happy place is gardening.

Jaci is the Administrative Director for Thresholds and the Financial Coordinator for Global Immersion. With a BS in Communications and Public Relations and years of HR experience and Project Coordination in the business and non-profit sectors, she brings efficiency to administrative systems and personalized support to employees, clients, and donors. Jaci is an organized, detail-oriented, proficient Enneagram 1 who values hospitality, fine details, and thorough communication.  She is a fiercely loyal friend, forever adventurer, partner to Jer, and Momma of 3 children. She enjoys great coffee, delicious meals, camping with her family, hosting friends, and hiking or running in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

Matt Willingham is a writer, photographer, and content manager with ten years experience living and working in some of the hardest-hit conflict zones in the world. He now resides in San Diego with his wife and three children where they work to wage peace in the toughest 'conflict zone' of all: right in their own community.
