2/8/2017 WEBINAR: Refugees and the Executive Order: How do Christians understand and respond

Last week’s executive order (EO) temporarily banning travel from seven Muslim-majority countries has caused a lot of Christians to pause and ask hard questions about the Church’s role in moments like these. As followers of Jesus first and US citizens second, how do faith leaders leverage their influence on behalf of the “least of these?” How do we lead with conviction without dividing our faith communities into partisan huddles? How do we both understand the implications of this EO and acquire the tangible tools to resource our communities for just and compassionate action? Join us Wednesday, February 8th as Jon Huckins leads a discussion with a few of our trusted friends who will guide us into understanding (1) policy related to this EO, (2) perspective from within the Muslim-American community and (3) practices that guide us into just engagement within the refugee community.
